Located in Deux-Montagnes, Project Cool is a thoughtful reinterpretation of mid-century design, blending natural materials, subtle colour, and clean architectural forms to create a kitchen that feels both timeless and contemporary. At the heart of the project is the combination of our Slim door design in walnut and our Slim design in the lacquer collection painted in Benjamin Moore's Wythe Blue HC-143. The warmth and richness of the satin walnut introduce texture and depth, while the soft blue cabinetry brings a sense of freshness and lightness to the space. Together, they create a balanced palette that feels sophisticated yet approachable.

The design embraces many of the principles that define mid-century interiors: honest materials, functional simplicity, and a strong connection between form and purpose. Open walnut shelving contributes to the airy feel of the kitchen while offering opportunities to display carefully curated objects, adding personality without overwhelming the space.

Dark countertops and fixtures provide contrast and definition, grounding the design and allowing the natural beauty of the walnut to take centre stage. Meanwhile, the richly veined backsplash introduces an unexpected layer of texture and visual interest, creating a striking backdrop that elevates the entire composition. Filled with natural light, the kitchen feels calm, inviting, and effortlessly livable. Every material was selected to complement the others, resulting in a cohesive space that balances warmth, character, and modern functionality.

Project Cool demonstrates how thoughtful material pairings and timeless design principles can create a kitchen that feels just as relevant today as it will for years to come.
