BETULA ALLEGHANIENSIS (1260 lbf on the Janka scale)

It is known as the "Jack of all woods" or in other words, the all-purpose wood. With its light colors and rippling grain, it is one of the most used woods in the world. Many pieces of furniture (including those from IKEA) are made of birch. Our woodworkers love its uniform pattern and it is very easy to work with.

QUERCUS RUBRA (1290 lbf on the Janka scale)

In its natural state, it is very difficult to determine what type of oak it is when you look at it. Once cut, its more reddish color determines its type. The red oak was very popular in the 19th century because of its abundance in North America. For this reason, we associate this species with a more traditional look that will stand the test of time.

QUERCUS ALBA (1360 lbf on the Janka scale)

Only the distinctive saw-cut effect reveals the true character of this wood. We appreciate its light beige hue, but it is the thickness and the vivid contrast of its grain that truly captivate. Rarer than its reddish counterpart, this wood distinguishes itself from the rest. Frequently featured in Scandinavian designs, it currently ranks as one of the most fashionable woods available.

JUGLANS NIGRA (1010 lbf on the Janka scale)

Walnut is known for its grain with tones ranging from light beige to deep dark brown. As one of the most prestigious woods, we think it's well worth the money. You will love the warmth it brings to a room. Whether it's for a complete kitchen or just for a color accent in a room, everyone will notice its presence.
